Terrene is a predictive analytics engine which automates the process of building and deploying machine learning models. These models, given enough data, can predict future outcomes in that dataset We are using this technology to solve problems in the real world. The vision behind Terrene is to allow people with unique expertise to tie their experience together with bleeding edge technology. We want to give the people who know how to make a difference in their companies the ability to do it.

We are a quickly growing startup currently based out of Kitchener. Terrene was founded by 3 University of Waterloo Alumni and will have grown to around 7 people by September. We mostly work with industrial companies who do not have the expertise to hire a data science team but can benefit from machine learning. We are industry and size agnostic our clients range from fortune 100 automotive companies to startups in the energy industry.

We are looking for a marketing professional who can help implement a marketing strategy directly alongside the company’s founders and the sales team. Some of the work you will be performing include generating and strategizing content for social media, blogs, websites, one-pagers, and pitches.You will also work on B2B public relations, social media, and occasionally lead generation and ads.
Because we are a small company you will get a lot of exposure to many different tasks and will be given the opportunity to take on a lot of responsibilities. We are firm believers that good ideas can come from anywhere and you will have many opportunities to present your ideas and put them into action.

An ideal candidate:

  • Experience in social media
  • Experience with Adobe Suite
  • Well Spoken
  • Ability to work independently

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience with B2B marketing
  • Adwords experience
  • Design Experience
  • HTML/CSS
  • Photography experience

Compensation:

  • $15-18/hr

We want your Co-op at Terrene to be interesting, educational, and fun. You will be working with a small team which means you will be given a lot of responsibility and hopefully you will learn a lot! Since we work out of The Tannery you’ll have access to the gym facilities, monthly community dinners and lots of other fun events and opportunities to network with other co-op students and startups. In addition to community events at The Tannery we host internal company events. Some of the events we took our previous co-ops on include VR arcade, board game cafes, mirage VR, and team dinners & drinks.
